What are Level 2 and Level 3 processing rates?
Level 2 and Level 3 are interchange tiers that lower your card cost on B2B and corporate card transactions when you pass extra data with the sale. Level 2 adds tax amount and a customer code; Level 3 adds line-item detail like quantity, product code, and unit price. On a corporate or purchasing card, qualifying for Level 3 can cut interchange meaningfully versus standard rates. Should I take ACH or card on large invoices?
For large invoices ACH usually wins on cost, since a 25,000 dollar order moves by bank transfer for a small flat fee instead of a percentage. Card still has a place for buyers who want corporate card points or float, and ProTech runs both on one account. The practical setup is ACH or Level 3 card for big orders and standard card for smaller ones. Dual pricing can recover most of the card fee when a buyer insists on paying a large ticket by card.
