Can stylists check out clients right at the chair?
Yes. Chair-side checkout lets a stylist or esthetician take payment on a tablet or mobile device at their station, so the client is not waiting at a front desk. They tap a card or phone, add a tip, and rebook in the same flow. For busy salons this clears the lobby and keeps the next client moving. Each transaction reports under the right service provider, so you always know who rang what. It runs on the same account as your front register.
How does tipping work for my stylists?
The terminal prompts the client for a tip after the service, with suggested percentages on the service price, and the full tip routes to the stylist who performed the work. Tips calculate on the service amount, not on any dual pricing adjustment, which keeps it compliant and keeps stylists paid fairly. At close, tips report per provider so payroll or booth-rent reconciliation is clean. Both card-present and text-to-pay checkouts support tipping the same way.
Can each stylist have their own login and reporting?
Yes. Every stylist or booth renter can have a separate login so sales, tips, and retail attach to the right person automatically. You see daily and monthly totals per provider, which makes commission, payroll, and booth-rent settlements straightforward. Permissions can limit what each user sees, so a renter views only their own numbers while you see the whole salon. Does it recover fees on both services and retail?
Yes. Dual pricing applies to service tickets and to retail product sales, so the card price recovers most of the processing fee on both. Retail already runs on thin markup, so recovering 2 to 3 percent there matters. The cash price is disclosed before payment, so the program stays compliant.
